Signlanguage is the first collaborative effort of the urban^idealists, a duo formed of Benjamin Schmitt and Justin Simcik. The urban^idealists transcend the use of shape and pattern and allow for a reaction beyond the boundaries of conscious thought. To further exploit the relationship between color and mood, material and technique. The urban^idealists engage in a chess match of sorts alternating the execution of symbols and shape, placement and color. The creation of each piece is formed out of trust as each alternating response directs the intent of the initiating artist.
